APC Internship

What is APC Internship?

The APC internship is an annual, year-long program that empowers UCLA undergraduate students to learn about APC and the history and experiences of the AAPI community at UCLA and beyond. It aims to provide students a political home and space for engaged and curious learning, critical thinking, and political and personal development. In weekly internship meetings, interns will build their capacity to engage critically with themselves and the world around them. APC’s Leadership Development Coordinators help interns further explore community organizing by pursuing politically engaged work alongside members of APC board.

Throughout the year with APC, interns will:

  • Learn about the history of APC and the experiences of the AAPI community at UCLA and beyond

  • Critically engage with their identities and positionalities within the AAPI community

  • Gain the skills necessary to organize within their communities by engaging in important work alongside APC board members, APC member organizations, and community-based organizations (eg: community-building, event planning, protests, mutual aid, etc.)

  • Develop a deeper care for community, social issues/injustices, and solidarity

  • Find a community and form lifelong connections with passionate & compassionate people
